Perfume vials: small sprays of luxury fragrance

Perfume vials are small glass sprays or dabbers that hold a few millilitres of fragrance. They're the easiest way to try high-end niche and designer perfumes on your own skin, compare several scents side by side and find your next signature fragrance without the cost of a full bottle. Vials also slip easily into a pocket or handbag for touch-ups.

Why buy vials?

• Try expensive niche scents for a fraction of the price.
• Compare several fragrances before choosing.
• Carry your scent anywhere in a tiny format.
• Build a collection of rare perfumes affordably.

Getting the most from a vial

1. Wear one fragrance per day to judge it properly.
2. Spray or dab on pulse points rather than paper.
3. Note how it develops after an hour and at the end of the day.
4. Keep vials closed and out of the sun.
